Our beloved pastor, founder, and spiritual father, Jim DiPalma, was called to his eternal home in heaven on February 1, 2025. He was a general in the faith and will be profoundly missed. We are grateful for a man who dedicated his life to planting eternal seeds that will bear good fruit for many generations.
He founded World Overcomers Church, now Encounter Church on September 5, 1993. Pastor Jim was known for walking in the office of an apostle. His love for the Lord and others, compassion, unwavering faith, and passionate preaching spoke volumes. He served faithfully as Founder and Senior Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Evangelist for 50 years, leaving a lasting legacy. His legacy is cemented by impactful sermons and equipping spiritual sons and daughters.
Pastor Jim's legacy lives on through his loving wife (Pastor Joni DiPalma), Children (Janelle and James David), Son-in-law (Mark), and the apple of his eye grandchildren (Charlie and Chelsea), his siblings, and extended family.
His genuine spirit of love, humor, service, and unwavering faith will forever be in our hearts.
